like what i have mentioned on yesterday's entry, i wld show y'all pictures of the cupcakes if i've got time to make them and i've done it! :b

it's my day off today, after i woke up.. had lunch and surf the net for little while and got my lazy ass up to have these little sweet treats, made! and, boy.. i'm satisfied with how it looks.. heehee.

i even borrowed the muffin baking tray from the restaurant! :X i'm gonna go get one myself, next month. then i need not borrow it from teh restaurant the next time round, lol.



if u can see, there's 2 sizes. the ones with black cupcake liners were much smaller in size compared t those in white cupcake liners. (:

the chef knew i had interest in making cupcakes, he asked me to go ahead and bring the extra cupcake liners home. i brought home 2 different sizes of cupcake liners. experimented with it and i realized, the black cupcake liner was the that i wanted.

the white cupcake liner is a little too huge in size...


after the cupcakes were cooled. i got cream cheese frosting into a DIY(which is a zip-lock bag.) pastry bag and attached the pipping nozzle to it and started frosting.

if you ask what i like most about baking cupcakes, it's the frosting part! i get to pipe many interesting designs on the cakes and mixing of different colors into the frosting is another one of my favourite part of bakig cupcakes. :D

the frosting i used this time round is delicious cream cheese frosting. ok, for the frosting part, i didnt do it myself.

the other day my colleague was making the cream cheese frosting to ice the carrot cake and there's quite an amount of frosting left, such a waste to throw it away right??

i asked her to give it to me, and i made use of the frosting to frost my cupcakes! hahahahaha.

color of the cream cheese frosting is originally white/ cream color.(duh) i just took half the portion of frosting i had and mix in a few drops of red food coloring in to get this gorgeous pink color!

color of the frosting sure stood out from the cupcake. contrast! heh.

so after a bit of creaivity and magic done to the plain chocolate cupcakes before...


the after product! transformation....

i wanted to divide the frosting into 3 seperate portions, so i cld have like frosting in 3 different colors but i figure out, pink and white works just as well. since my cupcake's color is dark, any light color for the frosting will make it stand out. so yay!

if you're wondering how i got white frosting all over the cupcake, just get a normal dinner knife and spread it all over the surface, evenly. needs a little practice thou, i'm still working on that. im no pro myself...

this is the only cupcake that had teh most work done on it, dont ask me why.. bt yeah, randomly!

1st, i spread white colored cream cheese frosting on the surface of teh cupcake, then i piped a 'border' on the edge of the cake den carefully spoon the hundred & thousands(referring to the little multi-colored candy bits.) around the border..

finally i finished off by piping a heart shape in the middle of the cake. hah!


left over pink cream-cheese frosting in a pink bowl, lol.


after all that baking and frosting, i got into the picture actingall shocked and surprise, like i was the one recieving the cupcakes. lol... sorry for the messy hair. grr!
